Are you on an ALL-IN monthly plan? If so, you’ll want to take note of the exciting changes we’ve made to the way you’re able to add money to your account!
Until now, adding money via airtime or credit card meant immediately renewing your rate plan and resetting your balances, however, after much interaction with our customers, we understand that there are circumstances where this setup may not be ideal. As such, you’ll have the option of applying the money you add to a plan as usual or to your balance via a new system option. When you elect to add money to your balance, you’ll essentially be adding those funds to your wireless rewards balance and saving the new balance to use at a later time toward a plan or other optional service, such as international calling. Selecting this option will in no way disrupt your current plan or any of its associated talk, text or data allowances.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about this new option and the flexibility it offers! And, if you’re a creature of habit and prefer to manage your account as you’ve always done, rest assured that the options you’ve grown accustomed to are still available.
How can you access this new option?
By calling 611 from your i-wireless phone or 1.866.594.3644. Select option 2 to add money to your account. You may use an airtime or credit card to complete this step. Be sure to listen carefully – the system will prompt you to identify how you wish to apply your funds, either toward a plan directly or to your balance for future use. Though not available today, you’ll soon enjoy the ability to make this choice online or via your phone as well – be on the lookout for details coming soon!
Why would you want to add to your balance?
Here are some examples that might help you to decide if this new option is right for you:
Let’s say you pick up an airtime card during your regular grocery trip and want to go ahead and add the money to your account before you forget, but your plan is not due for renewal for another week. This option will let you add that airtime to your balance and store it until you’re ready to use it, instead of resetting your current plan to that matching the airtime card amount.
You want to combine your wireless rewards and money from an airtime or credit card to pay for your plan…
Let’s say you have $15 in wireless rewards on your account and you want to use your rewards dollars toward the purchase of our $25 ALL-IN plan. You could redeem a $10 airtime card, apply it to your account balance and then apply your new balance of $25 toward that plan.
You have multiple cards to redeem…
Let’s say your store only had $25 airtime cards and you purchased 2 in order to get the $50 plan. Redeeming these cards and applying the funds to your balance will allow you to apply the total toward the $50 plan. Or, let’s say you received multiple cards as a gift. Instead of applying them as you need, you could redeem them all, apply to your balance and then use your balance to pay for your plan.
